Priti Shah

Priti Shah is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Michigan. She is affiliated with the Cognition and Cognitive Neuroscience area and the Combined Program in Education and Psychology (CPEP). She is the director of the Basic and Applied Cognition Laboratory. She received her Ph.D. in 1996 from Carnegie Mellon University and was a James S. McDonnell Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Santa Barbara. The primary goal of her research is understanding the cognitive processes underlying higher-level cognition and applying this knowledge to the improvement of cognitive abilities in children and adults.
